| Bertolt Brecht was an influential and prolific German poet, playwright & theatre director born in Bavaria in 1898. His many works include Baal (1918), Drums in the Night (1919), and Rise and Fall of the City of Mahogonny (1930).
Brecht died of a heart attack in 1956 at the age of 58. He remains to this day one of the most influential figures in 20th century theatre. |
